While Tesla's all-new Model 3 hasn't even been show in production form, the company's all-new entry-level luxury product has over one quarter million hand raisers. It's truly something special we're seeing here.

The all-new Lincoln Continental has gone from a concept and been shown in production form and it has netted 40,000 hand raisers.

Obviously that number seems to be dwarfed by Tesla's news, but you have to put it in perspective: Tesla is as hot as ever, and frankly, LIncoln's brand has been pretty much...dead.

The Continental is supposed to be the company's reawakening but if you ask Agent 001 and I we'd say the real test of this will be when the company drops the all-new Navigator in production trim.

Lincoln already has a list of 40,000 people who have expressed interest in buying the upcoming Continental, and brand executives on Saturday said they plan to start working with dealers soon to help turn those leads into reservations ahead of the sedan’s arrival this fall.

“We’ll have extensive prelaunch activities,” Matt VanDyke, director of global Lincoln, told Automotive News after today's make meeting at the NADA convention.
