I came across this through the American Le Mans Series message boards and God bless sports car racing enthusiats for finding this! A group of ex-Speed Channel employees including Jim Liberatore are attempting to launch a new network to compete with Speed. Unlike Speed, who have sold out to more mainstream audiences, Nascar and generic reality shows will not be take part with this network but instead it will focus on motorsports. The focus is bringing international world-class racing back into North America.

Some are speculating the Le Mans Series, FIA GT, and WRC will have a chance of being covered. Remember when Speed Channel use to cover the WRC calender? The group is attempting to get one of the satellite networks to land a deal starting in January, which there is a petition on the their site. There are no forms to fill out but instead a simple yes or no option to help generate interest to bring back coverage of motorsports in North America.
