The Veritas RS III was recently revealed after the company had been absent from the racing scene for more than 50 years. Veritas has planned two different variants of the RS III - a 480-hp version and a 600-hp version that uses the 5.0L V10 from the BMW M5.
Well, Veritas built the first prototype using the 5.0L V8 480-hp engine and decided to put it on display at a local dealership in Moenchengladbach, Germany. Some how, two fans convinced the manager of the dealership to let them take the Veritas RS III for a spin.
The two men Fans Martin Holtz, 44, and Friedrich Voller, 53, ended up losing control of the 480-hp Veritas III crashing it into a lamp-post. Police arrested the two men after they tried to flee from the crash.
