Volkswagen is preparing a number of new Tiguan variants following the arrival of the latest-generation model.
Auto Express has learned from the company's compact cars boss Dr Jochen Bohle that a new family of Tiguan-based models are on the cards, including a large seven-seat derivative as well as a five-door coupe envisioned to rival the Range Rover Evoque.
According to Bohle, “We have plans for a whole Tiguan family over the next two to three years. It is almost like a brand in itself, Tiguan, and our product and sales teams believe it will support more than one car.”
