I would happily argue that the star of the 2015 auto show circuit so far is the all-new Ford GT. This thing is just magical and when you see it, there's a strong chance it will take your breath away.

Not only is it impressive from a design perspective, it also is very clear that this car from the Blue Oval will be an engineering piece as well. From the usage of carbon fiber to the way this vehicle is aerodynamically like that of a Le Mans prototype racer, it's already a special vehicle.

But, many people flinched when they heard it would employ the use of a six-cylinder EcoBoost motor. Though it would churn out over 600 ponies — now we're hearing over 700 — the enthusiast community seemed let down.

As I try to inform everyone with every all-new auto, there's a reason for everything. Vehicles these days are all overengineered and that's because every automaker is fighting for every horsepower and every mpg. The Ford GT is not any different and is trying to raise the bar.

CNET's Brian Cooley, who is one of the Agents favorite presenters, goes behind the scenes to better understand exactly why the all-new Ford GT is the way it is. Believe you me, this is a must watch clip as Cooley speaks with senior leadership as well as one of the critical designers.

Brian Cooley takes a look at the 2017 Ford GT and explains why light and lithe is key to its story.
