As the battle over market share in the entry-level premium ute category continues to heat up, more information is starting to become known about the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show's Mercedes-Benz GLA. Note the word "concept" is not present.

That's because we're talking about the real-life production variant. Duh.

While we've seen it undergoing developmental testing and now in concept form, it seems that information describing what going to get through to the other side has been slim. Until now.

Thanks to Autocar, some details are being hashed out via the clip below. Essentially the big news is that the concept we saw in Shanghai is a pretty good reflection of reality. Some components are expected to get diluted and you better believe that its sexy interior won't entirely make the cut; however, you can bet the interior's overall design will remain. Expect the dash and center stack to look similar but be retrimmed without the real metal and expensive, smooth leather.
