I can't imagine what it's like to drive a car for nearly 50 years. I'd assume by then it is essentially a member of the family and you know every single nook and cranny. Every rock chip, ding and imperfection must be cataloged over that span of time; however, it's these little things that makes it so unique.

In some cases, that's what makes it perfect.

For Guy Newmark, the owner of a Porsche 356 with over 980,000 miles, it is a lovefest. One that we can relate to.

After inheriting his father's car with nearly 80,000 miles, he's been diligently putting on the rest.

It takes a lot of driving, work, and a little bit of luck to achieve nearly a million miles in one car. Guy Newmark has been driving one car for forty-five years, a beautiful blue 356, and he has no thoughts of driving any other. After a million miles, Guy finds himself almost sad when he pulls the car into the garage, so he sometimes invents errands in order to keep on driving. With a car still as fun to drive as the day it rolled off the assembly line, this is easy to see why.
