VIP Treatment, MORE Info About BMW M! Details On Upcoming 1M & Next-Gen M3

One lucky BMW enthusiast got the opportunity of a lifetime. In his words it was a taste of "BMW heaven," and the user compared it to being at "Area 51."

At an exclusive BMW event, david06M3 of 1Addicts was privy to some very intriguing details regarding the upcoming 1M and next-generation BMW M3.

Although details are somewhat sketchy -- and subject to change as David notes -- according to the post, M GmbH will be producing 2,700 1Ms globally in three colors -- Alpine White, Valencia Orange and Jet Black -- and only come in a manual transmission.

Additionally, David says that due to a "conversation" his gut is telling him that an all-new M3 will be getting a turbocharged six-cylinder powerplant.

Well everyone I arrived late last night. All I can say is that I got a taste a BMW heaven. It was beyond words! BMW M were unbelievable hosts who spared no expense or effort to make this truly the event of a lifetime. From the grand dinners, to the thoughtful details to make it feel personalized for each participant, I will never forget the Power of M Award 2010.

Because the highlight of the event was in BMWs equivalent of Area 51 in Miramas, there were no pics I was able to take. However they were thoughtful enough to provide cameras for use during the highlight of the event. My head is still spinning that I experienced what I did!
