If I ask 10 people what the UAW means to them I bet I’ll get a series of different answers.
Some may say the UAW symbolizes quality products made by quality people at a fair price. Fair enough if you were raise with that belief.
Others might think of a symbolic organization that demands a way of life that is no longer sustainable by simple economics. A relic of the past, and long overdue to go extinct.
Still a number of you might believe the UAW is a necessity to protect the average auto worker from the outsourcing of American jobs by greedy automakers.
All of these point s can be valid depending on your perspective, but what if we put you in the driver’s seat of the UAW, what you do improve public opinion, and settle the unrest of membership that wants to maintain the status quo. How would you address the economics of actually maintaining a sustainable existence?
Would you be a hard line leader, a mediator, or simply run for the hills?
