What are the safest driving cities? Can you guess?

Well maybe I should move to NY because these Toronto-nians DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE PROPERLY. AND IF U R FROM TORONTO U WILL KNOW EXACTLY WHO AND WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!

I hope you dont know that I can't drive. I'm under age. You will never guess how old I am. I just observe peoples traffic errors on the 404 Northbound going up to Newmarket coming from Markham!

When I grow up I will probally be amongst some of the most impecable, flawless drivers. I know almost every single rule of the road. I have been facinated with how to drive and the rules of the road since I was 4 1/2. I mean there was such a bad driver that was speeding and decided he couldn't stop and ran into our brand-new car. The car wasn't even a day old. It only had 13km's on it. And we got it with 9 kms on it. (approx. 5 miles)

I bet you I will probally be one of the best drivers out there! Going 140 on the 401 express in my first car (most likely a Honda Civic) with mods.

That just says it. I KNOW how to drive and if I were to go on my driving test tommorow I WOULD PROBALLY PASS with flying colours (colors in the U.S.). When it comes to the road I have to tell my mom how to avaoid some certain obsitles -like... swich lanes quikly 'cause that guy is comin' over into your lane!

As I started driving not to long ago, I can tell you that it is a bit different to drive a car than to ride in one. Accidents can happen when you are blatantly disobeying laws, or when you only put about 50% of your attention to driving.

Wanna know why the stats say Phoenix is the number one safest large city when USAtoday recently ran an article about it having the most aggressive drivers?

It is the fallacy of statistics that appear to show one thing but really show another.

In this case, Phoenix (I lived there for about 10 years) has several hundred thousand retirees living there (ever hear of Sun City?). They own cars but put few actual miles on them as they have community buses and use golf carts to ride around self-contained communities. So that heavily skews the numbers even when anyone who has ever driven in Phoenix will tell you that it is just like L.A. and a bit of a disaster.

I agree... whenever we travel to Atlanta, we take the I75, and coming from canada with four lane highways... it's quite fustrating to have to struggle so much on the highway. I mean it's not like it's a small highway... it's an interstate highways which goes from Detroit to Miami. (I think) We had the same problem travling through Ohio. There were only two lanes, and then an accident happended, which slowed down the traffic flow. This accident happened somewhere in the middle of Ohio... by the time traffic started to flow evenly we were in Cincinatti. It turns out that the accident happended just outside of Cincinatti! Kentucky had ok traffic low, but Tennessee was hell. It took us about 3 1/2 hours to travel through that state. I mean it was so horrible to have to be stuck in traffic climbing the mountais in Tennessee. When we reached Chatanooga it was ok. As we approached Atlanta we switched off of the Interstate and It wasn't bad, because there were three lanes.
Well of all the traffic we went through I think Detroit had the least traffic!
