Sure the design looks great and it carries a prestigious Italian designer's name. What an amazing Euro-wanna-be car!

The strategy is as follows:
1. Compete against the Germans by admitting that the European designers are the best.
2. Wait, that's not all, let's also test our best sports cars at the GERMAN Nurburgring to say how much Europeans know about racing!

In other words, by copying and supporting everything European, American OEMs are only making the case for buying the REAL DEAL and not some cheap wannabe!

American OEMs should stick with American. A great example is Cadillac. The design is completely American. The family resemblance is there and is well executed. Although, Cadillac design is not for me, other American OEMs should follow this example.
