When Audi first debuted the new large grills on their vehicles, enthusiasts were up in arms with the radical change even to the point of nicknaming it the 'Schnoz'.

Well time has passed and the majority have gotten used to the look, to the point where Audi sales are flourishing and making strong headway in the marketplace.

Southern California sources tell the Spies that Infiniti will be the next to feature a much more radical face, like was shown on the beautiful Essence Concept at the Geneva Auto Show.

They tell us to look for a BIG grill on the next G.

If it's true, do you think that is the way to go or will it harm the reputation and make the car too cartoon like?

Aside from the poor gas mileage on the new FX, the biggest complaint we get emailed to us is that the design is too cartoonish and too over exaggerated.

What are your thoughts?

More radical? Stay the same? More Conservative?

does the G look like any audi? or the FX? infiniti/Nissan hasnt copied anyone in their recent, if ever, designs. a big grill doesnt mean anything especially if its only on car that didnt come out yet

Why do people think Big Grilles were invented by Audi. If this was copied, they copied it from a multitude of Automakers throughout history.

Since this isnt a copy however, Infinti has stumbled one something nice. Even if it was a copy, it sure looks sweet.

Cartoonish design, made Jaguar tons of money, and Infinti can be the Japanese Jaguar with a good effort: the old school era Jaguar.

Infinti= New Jaguar

Lexus= New Mercedes

Acura= New BMW

BMW=New Rolls Royce

Mercedes=New Maybach (Discontinutation of the Maybach Brand should have been a hint to people "Wink Wink")

Audi= New Aston Martin

Why not?

Buick, Lincoln and Hyundai are coming for the Lexus, Infinti, and Acura spot

Infiniti & Acura are still trying to find their niche much less their "spot" taken by brands that know their spot.

I give Lexus A LOT of credit, at least in America, for creating a name and a prestige attached to it. Acura, introduced around the same time as Lexus has not come 1/3 as far. Their quality has slipped since, what, the 94 Legend(still classy IMO)? Infiniti has also failed to reach the heights of Lexus but has accelerated its pace in the last few years with hits like the M & G.

Hyundai is the dark-horse in this car race, I'd like to see how they create a luxury brand that will seperate itself from mom. The Genesis is, from first impressions, a great car.

I have always thought that Buick has the most hideous huge grills of the lot.

Acura came out earlier than Lexus, but yes, have not done nearly as well perception wise as Lexus...

What a lot of people don't realize is the sheer size of Toyota compared to Honda.

When Honda created Acura, that was a huge leap of faith for the tiny Honda motor company. Back in the 1980s, Honda was still a very small company with few products other than tiny 4cyl economy hatchbacks.

Toyota at the same time had a huge fleet of available RWD very large luxury cars they had been selling for decades in Japan. Toyota even had V12 limos back then. It was very easy for Toyota to create the Lexus dealership and bring over their existing lineup of luxury cars from Japan.

Honda on the otherhand had to design, engineer, and build an entirely new brand.

I think Essence concept's grille is very similar to what infiniti is already putting on it's new cars. Example check new FX and G37 grille. very similar. So design wise Essence grille is same maybe only grown in size. So more Like BMW approach(grille got bigger) then Audi.

I think it looks pretty good on the Essence and that it will translate over well into the rest of the Infiniti lineup. Awesome to hear it will make an appearance on the next G line, can't wait to see it!

Invisbles statement made me think about something. Just like Jay Leno did a Toyota movie like "Collision Course" in the 1980s, he Conan or Chris Tucker needs to do a KIA movie today with maybe even Jackie Chan, just have him play a Korean. Throughout the movie You can always hear Chris Tucker making a Korean car joke or a Korean Joke, and he gets proven wrong almost everytime. Make the setting in Modern Detroit. Then by the end of the movie you can see Chris Tucker changing is his attitude.

Chris Tucker is a: Black, Younger, Better looking Jay Leno, and has the same passion for old school American classics like Jay Leno as well.

Also, like young White Baby Boomers Immigrants and southern White Migrants, it seems as if us young Blacks today have been made the de facto progenitors of this crumbling cesspool of a civilization. The last hope for the country. The White youth are lost and have no passion, and the immigrants arent quite ready yet(But they will get their turn in 20-30 years). Hey, Somebody has to take charge, so suck it up.

If Blacks can't survive outside of North America, then why is my God-Mother living in Saudi Arabia. Care to explain the same thing to my relatives in France and England. Europe was influenced by China long before the 1700s. History started way before Europeans decided to write books about it.

As for a job to back it up, what your job is says nothing about your education, especially here. My God you are clueless. I dare you to walk into any Casino in Ontario and ask what sort of education Asians have who do "menial" jobs like dealing cards. I'll guarantee you 90% of them are engineers or highly educated but have to settle for their job because of their English skills, and I'll guarantee all of them speak atleast 2 languages fluently plus broken English. If you want to talk about jobs, N.America seems to be short on them right now. No wonder N.America is getting so screwed up, the feeling of entitlement is alive and well here.
As to my original point, I'd love to see a black (meaning N.American) person try to pull some of their crap in China (even Japan). They'd make'em disappear in a second or deport them.
Its the sad truth, N.America is only place that puts them on a pedestal (i.e. there are more black doctors on television than real ones).
China is the latest country to exploit Africa and the Chinese are taking jobs from blacks here so tell me who the real fools are.
