Honda’s ad campaign that shows an actor wearing a shirt with the slogan “Save the Earth” got it into trouble. The environmental group known as “Save the Earth Enterprises” filed a lawsuit against Honda Motor Corp. U.S. and its ad agency RPA.

The group complains that the trademarked slogan was used without permission in a recent ad campaign. The campaign had a hippie exiting his 1970s Civic who then continued through time-lapse footage across the decades. The group says that it has sent Honda cease-and-desist-letters but that the carmaker and its ad agency have not acknowledged any.
