Williams F1 Team has confirmed that their KERS technology will be debuting on Porsche’s new 911 GT3 R Hybrid road car, which will be launched during the Geneva Auto Show next month.

The Formula One teams have a gentleman’s agreement on the usage of the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) for the upcoming season of F1 however, Williams F1 Team is ahead one step and will soon reap the benefits of their flywheel-based KERS system. Ferrari, McLaren, BMW and Renault have already prepared their KERS system for the 2009 season of Formula One but Williams proceeded to a mechanical development of the unit.
