Not only did BMW bring one attention-getting car to the 2011 Detroit Auto Show, it brought another as well. Whether or not you like the 1M Coupe or 2012 650i Convertible, you have to admit: both are doing their respective job of creating a "buzz."

With the 1M, it's not just the tires that are beefy but check out that bodywork. It looks like a 135i that takes protein supplements and has been on a strict diet of raw meat. Although it boasts a pretty standard 135i interior sprinkled with Alcantara and "M" trim bits, it makes a pretty compelling package at about $47 large. It's cheaper than a 335is and way cheaper than an M3, while not being too out of reach from a 135i. From a business perspective, it seems to be a perfect price.

But will buyers consider it "overpriced?" We've already heard some grumblings when BMW announced pricing today at noon.

Then there is the all-new 2012 650i Convertible. Since I am a firm believer in brevity, the interior is the BEST we've seen from BMW in recent memory. From the design to the execution, it is stunning. Try to compare it to the last generation 6-Series and you'll probably walk away in laughter. The new 6'er blows it away, in every category.

Granted, you will pay for this since the new base price of a 650i Convertible is just over the $90,000 mark.
