At the 2011 Detroit Auto Show, the new Passat was released in a much larger and more squared-off package than the model it replaces. Although the updated Tiguan won't benefit from as many changes, it will adapt the new Volkswagen facade.
Thanks to Carscoop, we've gotten word that VW made the mistake, or were testing, a new page for the 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan when someone with sharp eyes noticed what was going on. Unfortunately, the page is not inaccessible but we still have the picture of the new car.
Although we can't confirm this is the real deal until the official press release hits the interweb, we're pretty confident that the 2012 VW Tiguan will look like so.
Any thoughts out there?
The facelifted 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan has said to have made a brief stint on the automaker's German web site today before the company hastily removed it. We found the aforementioned page but now it redirects to a 404 error...
