My neighbor, who was in love with his 2002 Ford Expedition, recently did something really surprising. He traded in his Candy Red love, which was nicely modified, for a car you'd never expect.
A Honda Accord.
His reasoning? He needed something more economical. Given that his Expedition couldn't even get over 15 mpg, I can't blame him.
If you haven't noticed automakers have been toting their mpg figures and all these new green features. Hell, now you see cars with plenty of Ultra Low Emission Vehicle or Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle stickers plastered all over the glass.
Considering the price of gas, I think it's crystal clear what manufacturers are trying to do. Impress YOU with their green initiatives/strategies and whatever else they can come up with.
The question, though: does it work? AND do you pick a competitor because of it?
