While Aston Martin didn't have much to show off at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, I will say that they did one thing right: it certainly has blossomed into a more adventurous marque. It was only a couple of years ago I called Aston a brand that had become predictable with its V12 grand tourers and its styling that seemed all too shared with Jaguar.

Since then though it's made what I would consider tremendous strides for a company that is so steeped in its heritage.

And think of the most interesting projects Aston Martin has embarked upon between the One-77, Cygnet and Rapide. While the One-77 was really a "gift to the world," the Cygnet was really the most radical idea, and the Rapide was a logical step in building the brand's lineup. Now only if it had priced the Rapide more competitively.

Now at the 2013 Geneva show a couple of things stood out to me at the Aston Martin stand. Note the more aggressive "face" of the Rapide S? Polarizing, that's for sure but at least it makes you feel something.

How about that V12 Vantage done up by Aston's Q program? It looks like, as Jeremy Clarkson would say, a "symphony of evil." It's incredible looking.

Two particularly lovely looking autos are the blue DB9 coupe and white, with what appears to be a blue interior, Vanquish. Topping off the look are what appear to be polished, blue wheels.
