It was only rumored about a month ago and it seems that someone was onto something. If you are a follower of Ferrari and its mid-engined V8s, you too probably were expecting to see a special edition model that's a bit more hardcore and lightweight over the standard car.
Ferrari originally did this with the 360 Challenge Stradale and 430 Scuderia. The follow up act is said to be what you'll see in the spy photo below. That, my friends, is the 458 Italia Monte Carlo.
Considering the trend, we expect this to be Ferrari's attempt at making the 458 Italia as close as possible to a race car that's street legal. Expect an interior that's largely stripped, carbon fiber used just about everywhere and, of course, more power.
