This week on Head to Head, two German sport sedans with supercar-beating performance take on the dyno, the track, and the mountain road to see which offers the better combination of sport, luxury,and performance. These particular versions of the 2014 BMW M5 and the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG are equipped with special packages that boost performance even further, called the Competition Package for the Beemer and the S Model for the AMG. These performance packages bring with them more power, slightly revised suspension tuning, mild styling tweaks, and, in the case of the E63 AMG S Model, Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel-drive system.
