interior looks kinda ok but still look cheap for a Cadillac. No STS-V model ?

if you consider real exotic hardwood cheap....dude, that's pommelle sapele.

The wood all car companies use is paper thin veneer and I mean it's paper thin and glued onto hard plastic.

It's not the type of wood used on highend custom musicical instruments.

Look at this Ron Thorn guitar and see what real wood looks like and sounds like.

The back and sides is Black Limba, the top is Polexia Grade Koa and the fingerboard is Brazilian Rosewood

The cabin design is still below par and the extensive use of wood, in this case, is rather gaudy. Cadillac still has a ways to go before it is considered on peer with the Europeans and Japanese.

i disagree. just because it is wood veneers does not decrease it's value. wood veneers have been used in high end furniture for hundreds of years.

A musical instrument is different than furniture....that's why there are differences in the lacquer; however, both can use shellac. In furniture construction, it is good practice to bind a veneer to a stable substrate, like MDF or maple ply. A car has to withstand a much wider range of temperatures than a guitar.....another reason to have it bound to something that does not expand or contract with temperature/humidity.

btw, there are some species of wood that can be used for both musical instruments and furniture; however, furniture can use a more extensive array due to the ability to bind a naturally unstable piece, like a burl, to a stable substrate.

i always thought the STS should have been a little longer.

Looks okay, but it wouldn't be on my top 20 list to buy.

I really don't know much about Cadillac but from the photos the interior appears to be one of the nicer American interiors I can recall. Hopefully the materials are up to par.

Everyone realizes that the SLS will only be sold in China right?? I think the interior looks good but I think it would look tons better in all black.

I love the 4 passenger seating. Update the grill like the 2008 CTS, remove the rear spoiler and call it the 2009 Cadillac Seville and you have a winner. Make mine Black please!
