I'm glad they've left the 'rocks and trees' behind.

OK... this is obvious an attack on the 3 series. I can't wait to see a camparo of the 07 335i with the 07 G35.

The commercial is not saying much. How is the car designed beyond machine...opps I mean ultimate driving machine. The G35 looks good, but so does the 3 series. Looks of a car is supjective.
cars 0-60....straight line speed.
2007 335i - 4.8 sec
2007 328i - 5.8 sec
2007 G35 S - 5.6 sec
BMW's Handling is world class. Can't get much better than what they are offering in that area.

not sure about the numbers but magazines have been comparing the 330i, and brand new g35 for the past couple of months, and the 330i always wins so a 335i is obviously going to be the better car, but im curious to see a comparo also even though i already who the winner will be.

The headlights look like they're from a Mercedes.
I don't know which, but they do.
And this car goes up against the BMW 3 Series.
So you get the whole German experience from BMW to MB in one car and a big discount.

Does this ad really warrant posting as news?
Fortunately the car will sell itself, because that was quite possibly the most forgettable, clichéd and non-eventful car ad I have ever seen.
Give me *something* Infinity... "MoveOn, apply directly to the gas pedal. MoveOn, apply directly to the gas pedal… etc, etc." would have been better. "Your commercials suck, but your performance is amazing!"

Yes, I realize I mis-spelled "Infiniti" in my haste. Oops.

Big discount..No thanks, I'd rather have the real thing;-)
Wasn't that nice of Mercedes to let them borrow those headlights.

VW & Hummer do the best car advertising. Mini used to, but VW stole their ad agency.

Blah blah blah, looks is all subjective. It looks good. The rear will take some getting used to though. It sticks out at an angle too much. Anyways the coupe will look a lot sexier. The engine sounds different and don't have that typical G35 tone. Unless it's just the commercials making it sound different.
It looks good but somehow I would still prefer the 3series over this "G". Also another thing in regards to the new reference name "G". It will attract lots of younger posers who feel like thugs or 'gangsters'. The name screams black terminology. ROFL.

Motor Trend tested an automatic with 3K miles at 5.2. The manual will beat that. I love the feel of my 04 G compared to my sister-in-law's new 3. The 3 feels tank-solid but it also feels sluggish even though the car handles well. There's a completely different feel to a G - more balls-out. The car mags have already commented on the feel. It's a true sports car with 4 doors.
