Turmoil At VW Continues: BernHard to Resign as Head of VW Brand After Only Few Days

It seems to be time again for breaking news from VW: Wolfgang Bernhard, head of the VW brand, is said to resign this Thursday morning!

VW Group’s Wolfgang Bernhard, head of the main Volkswagen brand, is expected to turn in his resignation on Thursday morning, according to early reports from Germany’s Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

I was knocked for calling VW the GM of Germany, but their continuing issues shows it to be more than a dig. They really are not doing well. I read a stat that Kia sells more cars in the US than VW. They aren't a quality brand, they aren't a budget brand, they aren't a reliable brand. Perhaps these shake-ups will lead to some solutions. What they do have is design, which of late has not been a strong point either. And if anyone can explain to me why VW has not released a Jetta wagon after 2 years, while bringing out a baby SUV instead... I'd listen.

How many 30-60 thousand dollar cars does kia have...the bulk of their cars are priced below 20 thousand...heck even their top of the line suv is 25 k.

VW used to be the value brand Kia is today. They used to have a lot more customers too. It doesn't look like too many Americans want a 30-60 thousand dollar VW.
