And we are suppose to be impressed with which picture?

A V8 M3; that I get and really want to see. But pictures of a 3-Series on a pallet with no distinguishing attributes? Why? You might as well have done a Photoshop.

Nothing to see here people....

the quad exhaust outlets are a big attribute, along with the same wheels they have been using to test the E92 M3 coupe.

He's talking about the rear bbs style wheel. The front doesn't even resemble any bbs wheel.

Come on, BMW can definitely find better rims to go with the new M3 I believe.

those pictures have been circulating forever. I'd love BMW to make a sedan M3 but pictures of a test mule from a year ago don't show or mean much.

Aren't they coming out with the M3 sedan as well? Anyhow this is probably a test mule with the exterior of a regular. This can't be the final product. However the V8 will rumble the streets once it hits and it will be wanted by lots of enthusiasts. The outgoing M3 was just improved by 100 times and the outgoing one was biblical!

Obviously it's a test mule!

Some peoples lack of understanding on this site bogals me...How can you not know and realize that it's merley a 323i's body with the workings of new M3 underneath, those rims aren't production, nothing here is production...They just DON'T WANT US TO SEE THE FINISHED PRODUCT!

Not some test mule that tells us nothing of the cars design.

In an issue of CAR magazine, one headline about New M3 goes like this.
'The new M3, 4 litre engine.400 BHP.0-60 in 4 seconds and 4 doors.'

Now if it goes like what they predicted,it's going to be stunning.

MunichRob you need to slow your roll and relax there buddy. I was just commenting on this topic. I'm sorry I don't spend my 24 hours 7 days a week on this site to 'understand' this.. I wasn't born yesterday. I'm just a guy who likes cars but i'm not too crazy about it so let me say what I have to say and not give me a hard time.

Thank you

I really hope Lexus brings out a competitor they announced previously.
The IS460 or IS500 whatever its called, that would make it interesting.
I doubt Lexus would have any hesitation to put some good power on it(perhaps 400-450?) after seeing how the current IS350 has 306hp (highest in its class). =)

The G35 and 335i also have the low-300s, so it's not really exclusive to Lexus any longer.

I also predict that Audi will use the 3.6 VR6 in the next A4, with upwards of 300hp. A 230-240hp 2.0T will be the standard engine.

Agent63Agent63 - 11/20/2006 11:48:57 PM

Yes Lexus I'm sure is capable of bringing out the horsepower in their cars. However making that power useful with a great platform for driving dynamics is the question. Is Lexus capable of beating a German car in what they do best. power/weight/performance distribution throughout.

They have done very well in the last few years to produce very appealing luxury cars but luxury cars don't always mean a great performer.

We'll see how Lexus does in competing with the might M3. IMO as good as the IS may be it will not be an M3.

sheldizzysheldizzy - 11/21/2006 10:09:55 PM

S4cabriofoxone: Yes, the 335i will also have the low-300s, but keep in mind that the actual direct competitor is the 330i (pushing at 255hp) and also at a similar price range. The 335i is roughly 5-6 grand more expensive than the IS350.

Agent63, I completely agree with you. No matter what Lexus will produce to compete with the M3, it will never outhandle it. But it MAY outpower it...
Lately Toyota and Lexus has been upping the power in case you guys havnt noticed. LS460 having 380hp, IS350 having 306hp, ES350/Camry having 273hp and the LS 600h delivering a pleasing 430hp. etc. etc.

Therefore I wouldnt be surprised if Lexus gives their M3-fighter a V8 pushing over 400horses (and perhaps with a hybrid engine?) ;) only time can tell

This pic hood has the look of the current e90 which the new e93 will not com in... So though it's real to the naked eye, I will keep all my bets on the M3board for the 'REAL' upcoming M3.
