Saturn Vue to Debut at LA Auto Show

Saturn Vue to Debut at LA Auto Show
In his latest blog post, GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz talks about Saturn. And more specifically, the new Saturn Vue. Bob tells us that the new CUV will launch at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month. The PreVue concept that was shown in New York in April was a good preview (pun definitely intended), but even better was seeing the Opel Antara at the Paris Motor Show in September.

Just like the Saturn Aura, itself a mildly reworked corporate cousin from Opel, there are high hopes for the new Vue. The Aura sedan has apparently been getting terrific reviews besides our own. And knowing that, Saturn is relying on another solid starting point in the Antara, although Lutz assures us the Vue "will remain Saturn, through and through." Well, if the new definition of a Saturn is a wonderful badge-engineered vehicle that smartly meets the needs of buyers and enthusiasts, then yes. Follow the jump for a pic of the PreVue and more of the story.

Yeah right, the German car company Opel had a board meeting and told the designers we do not have a clue about how to design a small SUV so just copy a Korean SUV.

And when they were designing they were listening to Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven.

Why can GM creat their own design instead of copying others ? Can u see little Hyndai and Mazda and ML ?

Because GM owns Opel and Opel designed the SUV and it saves a ton of money to just rebadge.

I pass one of these with black tape camo on it every day on the way home from work. It looks EXACTLY like the Antara.

That's because it IS the Antara.

This picture sucks.. you can go to the Opel web site and get a better idea what this looks like. I agree with your comments on the way this picture looks but you can't judge by this photo alone.. this camera angle is wrong to show it off and the color doesn't help.. www.opel.com
