German inspiration for the new Skyline ?

Looking at the pictures of the new Nissan Skyline yesterday something caught my eye...this reminds me of another car...ok now I get it, there is a slight but slight ressemblance with the Mercedes CLS!

Similar headlights shape, similar radiator grill, similar hood ? The sides are another reminder of the CLS.

I don't think it was intentional anyway. These days, people just take available shapes and integrate them into whatever they're designing.

That said, the new Skyline looks hot.

Com'on Nissan/Infiniti try to at least be original.

And the funny thing is the critics of the Mercedes CLS said they didn't like it until Nissan came out with their version of the car.

Besides the headlights I don't think the Infiniti G looks anything like the CLS. The CLS is quite hideous, with side windows too small for the body while the G is an adequate design. I think the Lexus IS and new BMW coupe and any Audi look better than the Merc AND the Infiniti.

The CLS is one of the most beautiful and revolutionary (design wise) cars out there. Name me one car that can match its elegance?

I can only think of one: Aston Martin Rapide Concept.

...they seem to be in a tight spot, look at them, taking models of other companies, they just dont have it anymore. From another point, look at them, they made different versions of the maxima(altima, sentra)... its just sad cuz the maxima doesnt even look good.
