I really liked the Roadjet concept. Will that be the A5 coupe?

No, that will be the Q5 SUV (X3 competitor, but the difference is that it will be available with a V-8). The A5 coupe test mules have already been spotted, and it will debut soon.

Why would the Roadjet, as a luxury hatch, become a coupe? The A5 is basically a production version of the Nuvolari concept, if you remember that. That was a beauty!

Well then why would a luxury hatch become an SUV?

With the Q5, A5, A7, possibly an R4 and additional R8 models, Audi will be adding many cars against the competition.

Todefeat the new S-class the upcoming A8 will have to be a faultless car in terms of design, luxury, performance and image.

Exactly. They're not. Maybe an even more exotic car-- R10 --but that's very far off. The R8 with V10 will not be called the R10, as previously stated. Audi never changes the model names in light of a new engine. An R10 would be a completely new model.

The car business has luxury coming out its ears. Cadillac, Jaguar, Lexus ... To fulfill its German mission Audi needs to be more than simply a luxury car. They're too middle-of-the-road as it is, just look at the current A4.

Audi was supposed to surpass BMW by 2015. Now it's 2020???????

Gee....14 whole years from now. Only Audi could refrain from being so aggressive....LOL

Well, they have to surpass Mercedes first. Do you expect them to beat BMW like next year or something? They have a disadvantage of about 350K cars!

Which, hopefully, most of will come from the US... I expect them to be selling at least 200,000 cars here by 2010.
