POLL-nominate the best car in each category

Have there ever been any polls taken on Autospies? If not then I’m taking one now. If so, then here is another one. Please nominated ONE car for each of the following categories. This vote will last 10 days. After 10 days of being on Autospies the nominees for each category will be counted and the car voted on the most number of times will win for that category. I will then post the results.
Views of other car websites on the best car have already been posted but now it's Autospies' turn. VOTE NOW.

What do you think is the best car of any era (past, present or future) in the following categories?

1. large saloon (e.g. Jaguar XJ)
2. large sedan (e.g. (Audi A6)
3. midsize/small sedan (e.g. Lexus IS250)
4. hatch (e.g. VOLVO C30)
5. coupe (e.g. BMW 6-series)
6. convertible (e.g. Aston Martin V8 vantage convertible)
7. supercar (e.g. Bugatti Veyron)
8. sports car (e.g. Porsche 911)
9. affordable sports car (e.g. Mazda MX-5)
10. large SUV (or SAV) (e.g. BMW X5)
11. station wagon (e.g. Mercedes E-class wagon)

There were quite a few flame wars in my post concerning the best car overall and I hope by doing this I will get a more reasonable answer without criticism being fired between the Jap-lovers and the German-lovers.

Just out of curiosity blueice, did you even consider a car that wasn't built in japan. I could belive it was all valid opinions till you mentioned the sc430, a pretty car but look at what else is out there, drive a couple of them.

SilverAero: how come you didn't ask the similar question of the idiots who only specified European vehicles like S4Cabrio and MDalle?

SilverAeroSilverAero - 11/27/2006 9:23:49 PM

I thought about that and MercBasher, and MDalle actually brought up the Vantage and the Veyron. So i threw him a bone. I would have said the same for S4cabrio yada yada but he responed after i submitted my comment. Love your ID though, there are to many narrowminded people on these forums, good to see i'm not the only one who can see this.

Actually, changing BMW M3 to Civic Si because the M3 isn't affordable.

The Civic is Japanese, too, a plus...

vmarkiv,
you are obviously a complete idiot. you have chosen a holden in evey category. how can you justify that when the only good holden is the new ssv?? other car brands DO EXIST you know...

holden IS NOT the only one. relax a little...see the world. germany maybe...what about america. THEY make cars too.

you are the kind of person who should be shut up because you will start up infamous "flame wars". but in your case it will be you VS the rest of autospies.

keep your dumb comments to yourself...
