Volkswagen Launches Performance R Line Accessories

Volkswagen has launched a new line of performance package accessories for the Golf, Passat, Touran and Touareg models. The R line performance packages come in three levels including Trendline, Plus and Exterior. Accessories in the R line include modifications such as a sports steering wheel, 17 or 18 inch wheels, new interior trim, sports seats, blacked out grilles, anthracite powder-coated wheels and different aerodynamic parts for the exterior. Currently only two Volkswagen models carry the R performance badge which are the Gold R32 and Passat R36.

This is little league news compared to Lexus' announcement of the return of the L-Tuned line. Also Acura's S-type is legendary.

Interesting... why call them "performance accessories" if they do nothing really to enhance "performance". LOL! I suppose if they offer red VW stickers, that will increase a VWs performance by at least 5hp.
