Video: Volkswagen Tiguan Concept

Here is a video of the recently unveiled Volkswagen Tiguan Concept which was launched at the LA Auto Show. The Volkswagen Tiguan Concept seems to closely resemble what the production version of the compact SUV will look like at its launch since the design is toned down from what it originally looked like. Under the hood the Volkswagen Tiguan Concept has the new BLUETEC diesel engine that was developed in partnership with Mercedes-Benz and Audi. The car is expected to be ready for sale in 2008 in the UK.

I see a hint of what the next Passat will look like as well.

I liked the video.

i know its a diesel etc etc. but it sounds horrible. the design looks cool, and maybe the performance is good as well, but the engine sound when it has stopped makes me think i would get annoyed really quick.

If you know anything about condenser microphones you would know they can be very sensitive and will pick up everything and they could have enhanced the sound of the motor in the recoring studio when mixing the sound.

I think so.

don't forget this is a concept, so it won't have all the sound deadening. and you would have to be right next to the car to hear that noise anyway, the camera and microphone are obviously not in the same place.

I heard a rumor the Volkswagen Tiguan can pull an 18 wheeler big rig loaded with Toyotas with no prolly.

That is true, but Toyota doesn't want to admit that.
