Stance is not agressive, less agressive than even the C43. Even the Acura TL styling growls meaner than this.

Doesn't do much for me.

I think exactly the opposite!
Great stance IMO.

Mercedes knows not to make it look to mean, just right.

It's pretty nice- the bodykit makes it look a little stubby, but I like the overall design.

I drive the current C Class (C230 V6) and I love my car. Fun to drive, reliable (so far) and built like a tank. I've been very happy with mine, and I just may go back to Mercedes' after such a wonderful experience.

The new C looks very promising indeed. Conservative, as can be expected, but also evolutionary and dynamic. Peter Pfeiffer deserves a pat on the back for this design. Looking very nice, very nice.

C230 V6? Isn't that a supercharged 4 cylinder? I thought the C320 or now the C350 is the V6.

They all have six-cylinder engines now, just small ones. Kind of like the 325i and IS250 (?).

Doesn't the IS250 have a six-cylinder?

WillisWillis - 12/5/2006 7:07:29 AM

The new C230 is a 2.5-l V6, a very smooth and potent one too. The engine is torquey and pulls hard for a 2.5-l motor.

well no actually the c230 kompressor is a "4cyl" with a supercharger....mercedes makes 2 v6 models a c280 and a c350, than the c230 k, hate to tell you the salesman got you, if you think your driving a V6 lol just the c280, and the c350 are v6, but ive always liked the c class amg, my favorite is still the old c43 amg they looked bolder with the squared off desighn and the v8 engine

"well no actually the c230 kompressor is a "4cyl" with a supercharger"

Willis owns a C230, and I know he's right.

Both the C230 and C240, from '05-present, have used six cylinder engines. Mercedes changed it very quietly.

EYLWA

Also, don't you realize that some Holden's are actually Daewoos?
e.g the Holden Barina is actually the Daewoo Kalos, the Holden Viva is the Daewoo Lacetti. Holden is a subsidiary of GM, which is American. The Commodore has a GM souced L76 engine. The Holden Captiva is really a Chevrolet Captiva.

HOLDEN IS BASICALLY AMERICAN.

Jesus fu¢king christ, we at least admitted we thought the IS500 (or IS-F or whatever) was good-looking! You know this is.

It may not be up to M3/RS4 levels of good-looking-ness, but it's close.

Earlier repots indicated that this will have an updated 5.4 liter V8 with 400 or so hp. I guess we will have to wait to find out. Looks fairly nice, but again we will have to wait to see.

Different how the fenders attach to the bumper.

German cars are famous for the fenders to extend below the headlights, but not on this new C-Class.

I don't see any fender flares, especially since the new C-Class pictures without camo don't show any. More Japanese fanboy BS to discredit MB.

Absolutely stunning. EL said it right when MB won't make this thing scare people in the daylight, it will have just a good proportion of aggressiveness and sport in it's design.

This should be a solid car for MB.

And yet, the S-Class and CL-Class are two of the most stunning Mercedes-Benz vehicles ever built, and there's no denying that.

It's most likely going to be the most expensive compared to its main German rivals(M3 and RS4).Its cost therefore should match acceptable levels quality.A recent bane of the mercedes brand, lack of quality and high cost.

There's a difference between beauty and fashion. Beauty is timeless. Fashion is in style; bold, if you will. Both the S and CL are in fashion and look unbelievable right now. To say you don't like them is just denial, out of jealousy that the new LS460 isn't as cool-looking- you know you'd rather have an S550.

Sorry girliemen, the C class just looks too "Chickie", even if there's a torque monster under the hood, and this is no different. And that's part of the problem with the C class, it's too feminine for mainstream dudes to buy. It only comes in automatic!!! Why is this? Because girls don't like manual gearboxes and MB won't even offer it as an option. Clearly footed in girl land this car is.

For styling, MB got it right with the SL, CLS, new SLK, and even the new E. I think the older CLK looks tougher than the new. But this new "little C" with high rear hips doesn't have the frame to hang muscles on it.

The older C class did much better with brawn, while this new C tries to pretend to be an E class but squished narrow.

I think Mercedes should give up on the AMG line for the 'C' class call it a C500 sport and be done with it.

"...MB got it right with the SL, CLS, new SLK, and even the new E."

I hate the SLK. I don't know why (or how) people think it's good-looking. The nose is horrendous.

Otherwise, you forgot the new CL (it's SO much better in person than in pictures- I've seen it) and the S-Class.

I agree about the rest.

I've owned all the C-Class AMG's since the C36 including the C43, C32 and now drive an 05 C55. I'd love better handling and more HP and will get both in the new 08 C63!
