Ford Planning to Bring Euro Models to the US?
Nothing has been finalized yet but Ford is looking to bring its Euro models to the United States. A report fro Just-Auto is saying Ford’s European models are better built and better designed as compared to their American counterparts. Vehicles being evaluated to come to the United States include the Ford Mondeo, S-Max, Focus and the Galaxy minivan. Well let’s hope this gives Ford some needed boost in the US Market and American cars finally learn how to make interiors like the European.

Background reminds me of scenic buildings in Holland. Seen similar buildings in Aruba also! But then again..Aruba's white settlers were Dutch so that explains it:)

Anyhow, the syling is very Asian and European crossbred IMO.

It would be really good to see that shift of Euro-spec cars coming to the US. We always get shafted on design and engines.

It would also do well for ford since most of the international auto journalists always give praise to Fords Euro cars and not to the ones we are stuck with.

I think this is a really good idea. When I seen the Euro Focus and the Mondeo (especially) I thought that these cars would do well in the US (Hoping that tney are not prejudged by Ford's crappy brand reputation). I also hear that Ford's vehicles cost considerably more money than American Fords and that they will lose $$, but I dont think they have a choice in the matter. Either give the American public what they want or just keep losing sales to the Japanese/European brands.

But it upsets me that Ford would build better cars abroad that what they manufacture here in the United States...Im personally holding that against them.

get the s-max, it's the best handling minivan out there.
the focus is the best handling hatch.
the galaxy has the highest quality interior.
and nobody knows what the new momdeo is like yet.
BUT don't forget this all comes at a price. the galaxy can easily hit 50k dollars, focus around 20-30k dollars. they won't be very american prices.

I got to give Ford credit, that very design that they got for this Mondeo. But it seem like they got the design idea from the Lexus IS 350. I think it is a very good idea that Ford planning to bring their European Ford to the U.S. Because if they do that and have success the Japanese company Join them too, it all about the Money$$$$$$$$. Which is good because I have more option to choose when shopping for a new cars.

Yay! Mondeo!!! Just swap the cheesy interior bits for ones that look like the Fusion. The Fusion actually has a good interior.

They also should bring the Fiesta.

No, no, and no.

The Fusion's interior is much cheaper.

The Fiesta is not a good car at all- that an the Euro-spec Fusion (which is a raised Fiesta) are bad.

the fiesta is a good car! where did you get the idea it isn't? but i suppose the clio, 207, grande punto are all better....
the fusion euro though is bizzare.
