Spy Shots: Acura V10 NSX and new Honda Crossover!

It looks like a cross between Ferrari and Aston Martin. I'm not quite sure if I like it that much at this point.

Don't you just love how Honda will simply dump a cars entire design philosophy and then come out with something new and call it by the same name?

It is a little odd, yes!

But Honda makes great cars nonetheless.

I liked the HSC concept better than this. They were originally going to make that the new NSX.

YES!!!!!!!!!! OMG OMG!!! V10!! Didn't I tell you?!?!?! R8 What? R8 WHAT!!?! R8 WHO?!?! Oh yeh, the R8 is the thing that you see in the NSX's rearview mirror! Yeah S4Cabrio, what did I say? Didn't I tell you? And also, you KNOW a v8 will trickle down from that V10 and then Audi will get their just deserts. Yum Yumz.

Jesus, relax kid...First of all, this is the concept and probably at least 3 or 4 years away from production. By then you'll have the V10 R8 to compete with and maybe even a whole new R8 refresh altogether. The performance landscape will be completely different in 4 years than what it is now. I wouldn't go making such bold predictions that could come back to bite you in the ass.

Second of all I am dissappointed that the new NSX is going from its old roots (lightweight mid-engined exotic) to a nose-heavy front engined tourer. This should be a new model from Honda, not a "born again" NSX.

This car will be out in 2008, less than 2 years.

Secondly, the old design, while ground breaking, didn't sell. So the reason they are changing their design philosophy is so that they can actually sell some cars and not just receive praise for being a great car. They are just responding to what people want.

hopefully it will come out cause how long have people been waiting to see the next gen nsx.

Tomorrow, I'm going to post my "rendering" of a W-16 NSX that shares its drivetrain with the Veyron. It would be about as meaningful as this ridiculous speculation.

Agreed, this isn't a spyshot, it is an artist rendering from some crummy magazine. Actual car will look nothing like this. How about reading the article first before starting this thread.

Are we really getting a new GTR, Supra, and NSX? If so, the times we are living in are an enthusiast's dream...Japanese supercars, exotic marquees are expanding, American muscle is coming back...and we're in an unprecedented horsepower war. Think about it...Camry's are knocking on 300 hp! This is a great time for the automobile. And we reap all the benefits

We'll see how this Honda does against the Ford GT, Chevy Corvette, Dodge Viper and the Saleen S7. ;)

EL34 most cars u mention are just plastic body with truck engines. I would like to see the Ford GT go up agaisnt the NSX. But Acura and Lexus are going to have a great time battle each other in Japan first.

Very nice and clean design, this car MUST be built. Now Lexus MUST come out with a competitor to make the market exciting with this Acura the Infiniti and Lexus hopefully and of course the German side.

I think this is the best rendering by far. The HSC was cool, but I think it has been too long and that design is somewhat dated now.

I really hope the next NSX turns out like this!

Gorgeous car. My only complaint is the point in the front. And that 4.5 liter V10 @ 550 BHP will give both BMW and Audi/Lambo engineers something to scratch their heads about.

Too bad it's AWD, but the "Super Handling" technology has rumors of being better than Quattro.

That crossover looks like a reincarnation of the HR-V from the mid 90s. Also looks like a tall Odyssey.

The car looks good from behind,even for a Honda!!

I am suspicious of this article. The NSX has always been a mid-engine car, while the photo looks very much like a front-engine configuration. A large grain of salt is recommended.

If this is the new NSX Honda better be prepaired to redesign it alot sooner than they did the last one. This car will not stand out, and its design will get old fast.. But it does make the present car look much better
