2008 Volkswagen Jetta Wagon Spied

This part is sort of weird. I know that the dark blue one is definately a Golf Plus photoshop, but I thought that the silver one was an actual spy shot, but they say this

"The photos are showing two computer images suggesting how the wagon will look like upon its release."

Anyways I expect that it will look more like the main silver one.

Chewy - Now I do like the Jetta, but the fact that its a wagon negates everything to me. Maybe I'll feel differently if I had a wife and kids...

The silver one is a photoshop, yes- but it looks rather good, until you realize that the rear window is fake.

Oddly enough, they used Q7 rims, I think.

What's the point of buying this over a five-door Rabbit/Golf? Does it offer any extra versatility?

The Jetta is 13.5 inches longer than the Rabbit. The trunk takes this space up on the Jetta. So in the Jetta Wagon, you will get a 13.5 inch longer Rabbit. So you get more space/trunk volume.

They call it a golf wagon, not a Jetta wagon. Not sure you're calling it the right car.

I'd read the Jetta wagon was going to get its own name, and separate styling from the Jetta to make it more of a special, stand-alone car. That was 2 years ago, though.

No, this is the Jetta wagon. In the last generation there was a Golf Wagon and a Jetta Wagon. Confusing I know. This is a Jetta Wagon as it shares the 13.5 inches longer Jetta's lenght when compared to the Rabbit/Golf.

I don't like the Jetta or the Corolla, thanks. I'll reserve myself until I see the new Corolla in person, but by the pictures we've seen, it looks like mini-me Camry (big surprise), and I hate the Camry with all my heart. It used to be just boring- but now it's boring and ugly.

Is it going to be more reliable? I concidered the diesel jetta and many people warned me of friends or family that have had a lot of quality issues.I would never concider one unless they had a better warrante.

The latest generation Jettas haven't had that many major problems, or at least compared to previous ones. However, there are plenty of people with flawless VWs, there are others that have had problems.
