how does having a coupe "between the A4 and A6" put them "a step ahead of other premium makers"? This car is a 3-series coupe/CLK competitor, both of which are well established.

The A5 will be at least 2 inches longer than the MB and 5 inches longer than the BMW.

It is always good to have more choices. Audi is filling a gap in its line of cars, and that's good. I wonder what the engines choices will be, but I think a diesel, 3.2 gasoline, 4.2 V8 and may be later on a RS treatment. I will go for the V8 for sure. I hope it comes early next year, cos I am planning to buy a sport coupe, German offcourse.

there will probably be a 2.0T for europe. and a 2.4 and a 2.8, as that has just come out in the A6.
it would be cool if there was the 3.0 tdi.

Audi needs to fill the gap between the A4 2.0T and the A6. The A6 is a 700 dollar or more lease payment and people comming off of their A4 leases want to step up but can't go that far. They should make give people more reasons to buy the 3.2

GO for the ultimate.BMW 3 coupe.

It's sooooo good that i highly doubt the A5 will affect it.

Nice video. You can see Audi's Quattro in action as the A5 has absolutely no fear of taking the Ring in the wet. On the dry it looks very composed and hunkered down. Pretty mean exhaust tone as well. Looking forward to the A5. This will be almost 5 inches longer than the BMW 3 series coupe, so you will get plenty of rear seat space and a nice trunk. That is why it is ahead of BMW.

So isn't it in 650i territory then?

Not exactly, the 6 series is about 5 inches longer than the A5. The not-yet confirmed A7 would challange the 6 series. BTW, the A4 will most like grow to 185 inches as well.

And, the 650i is/will be about $35,000 more than the A5.

Another incredibly boring and dull car from Audi...and non destinguishable from the A3, A4, A6, and A8.

Camouflage is generally used to hide taillight features. You must be retarded not to figure out it looks like the other cars. Yeah...it looks stunningly different from all the rest....

All BMW looks similarly, all MBs looks similarly, all Lexuses look similarly. Most brands have a brand identity" in design with only differences in design come from differnt release dates on the vehicles.

about 10 years ago when the 996 came out we had one come to our dealership. The car had total fake panals. You could push the plastic in. The car looked totaly diffrent then the finish. This car will look hot when it comes out like all new Audis
