Automobile Magazine Releases It's All Star List for 2007

Honda Ridgeline???

I don't like the vehicle and I don't like the name.

Yeah how does that truck make it on to everyone's Best Of list???

Now I am a Honda/Acura enthusiast, but I dont see the facination with the Ridgeline either. But I dont care for pickup trucks anyway...

I have Ridgeline little over a year now. It is great truck well thought and provides great bridge for the truck need but still family and daily activities. I have had several other trucks and spent many months and test drives before buying the ridge adn still very happy.

The name 300C is getting old !!!

I think that the BMW 3 series has the most awards and is on more of these 10 best lists than any other car in the world over the years.

The Ridgeline isn't visually stunning, but it is very nice for what it is. The bed system is the best ever! The price point is it's only negative really.

All good cars, but my faves from the list would be the Aston and the Infiniti.

Sometime there should be a poll on the auto magazines. I think Car and Driver and Motortrend are the best by far. Road&Track and Automobile are boring as hell 95% of the time.

I dun like reading car and driver.... they give me a feeling of "country music", watch Car and drive on Tv you will know what I mean, and they are more bias imo.

Comparing the camry with the G35? why?? Did you forget the camry is front wheel drive? well you have the IS350 to compare it with the G35.

The Q7, in reviews, is lauded- but they think the GL offers better practicality. I agree.

But don't worry, Automobile magazine is a German supporter so you'll always see BMW on top.

And where is the IS350?

The G35 is on here because it's the first BMW competitor that Automobile Mag feels like it's not targeted at last-generation 3-series. In my opinion, that is not an All-Star. An All-Star is one that raises the bar year after year(3-series). There really should be only one all-star in the entry level luxury sport sedan segment and that is the 3 series. Year after year BMW shows the world how to improve performance on the 3 series. And year after year the Japanese takes the info and builds a 3 series clone. The way I read Automobile Mag statement is Infiniti made the list because they can copy the Germans better than Lexus.

Kinda agree ... G35 is a big improvement from the previous model, I am not sure that this car is better than IS 350 tho. I think GL should be on the list not G35 that's for sure

Totally agree...the G35 beat out the IS350 for three reasons:

1) Same performance
2) Cheaper price
3) Choice of a manual tranny

IMO, I like the IS styling better, but for the manual transmission and cheaper price I would take the G35 over it. A buddy of mine has a previous gen G35 and the power was ok and the interior was cheap and ugly. He's trading it in for the new Sport 6MT and I can't wait to see the improvements.

Well if not the IS they should've included the LS460. When Automobile reviewed the LS in October they loved it and said it was not only on par with its German counterparts but it lead its class.

Why, a driver can't park the car without touching a few buttons and lightly tapping on the break, touch the steering wheel and the damn thing shuts down and 50 cars are all honkin' at you on Santa Monica Blvd.

Yeah, but it will start again right there. In the MB if it shuts down - you'll need it towed ;).

You know what's strange about Toyota?...they make more SUV's than cars.

The Celica is history, but they have the Scion.

Chrysler 300C AGAIN?

I agree. The 300C no longer deserves to make any top lists.

It was nice when it first debuted, that Chrysler came out with a "winer," but it is now beat by the Toyota Avalon.

My feeling is that everyone is starting to feel bad for the American car maker.

It is iminent that foreign cars will eventually take over 100% of the U.S. market, and some people are saddened by that, myself included.

I own three cars, and of those three, only one is American (it's a 1965 Ford Mustang, so it's not like we just bought it)
One is German and the other is Japanese.
The American car companies need to all merge together and form an alliance; that is the only way that they can survive the onslaught of the foreign companies.

The Avalon is the ugliest Toyota in the lineup.

I say the 300C deserves the award.

I have, and there is no interior competition. The Avalon blows the 300C away, unfortunately.

good list.. except 5 series over chysler crap. I like the rest.

5-series is Bimmer crap!
