The Unknown Power of the Morgan Aero-8 GTN

What could be one of the ugliest British cars ever made, the £72,000 Morgan Aero-8 GTN after Richard Hammond’s review of the unexpectedly fast beast. The Morgan Aero-8 GTN may not be as beautiful as a Ferrari but it surely has more horsepower than Ferrari 360 and Porsche 911 GT3, not to mention faster than the Aston Martin Vanquish. Pushing 330 horsepower per ton (exactly how much it weighs), it has a 4.6 liter BMW V8 engine that gives it the ability to do 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. Morgan will only make a 11 of these beasts before replacing it in 2008 with the Morgan AeroMax (pictured above).

The Morgan Aero-8 GTN might carry the body of a early 1940s vehicle, it is definitely modern under the hood with its BMW engine. Check out this wonderful car in this Top Gear video. Rich, this is also, now, our favorite car.

ill have to agree i really like this car the headlights have always looked kinda odd and out of place but the aero 8 has always been a good looking car

Though I usually do not agree with articles spitting on Porsche, this is one BEAUTIFUL car! Me and Mister Burns would definitely rock this car.
