Tuner Cars: Audi S3 Gets 362 Horses

German tuner B&B Automobiltechnik has revealed its new tuning kit for the Audi S3 giving it the ability to push 360 horsepower. The tuning kit by B&B Automobiltechnik for the Audi S3 comes in three stages including the installation of a new turbocharger, a sport exhaust system, a new air intake system and new and improved intercooler. The tuning kit gives the Audi S3 to push 362 horses, giving it the ability to do 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds with top speeds reaching 171 mph. B&B Automobiltechnik is also providing 19 and 20 inch wheels with new high-performance brakes and suspension kit that lowers the Audi S3 by an inch.

I don't know in which world you live in but i'm 90% certain the 135i will be more expensive then the S3, seeing as it will probably be far more powerfull.

APR (Audi tuner located in Alabama) is about to release a turbo kit for the transverse mounted 2.0T. I assume this includes the Audi A3 (the A4's engine is mounted longitudinally). The expected output is around 400 HP.

Their current kits (for 1.8T engines) produce between 333-340 HP, reliably.

Modded ECU (you have to send yours in, they modify it and send it back), turbo (Garrett GT28R), exhaust manifold, bigger injectors, a bigger MAF, high flow cat, a couple of silicone hoses to replace the stock intake-to-turbo and compressor-to-intercooler hoses, and a few other items that I can't think of.

To maximize output, you also have to get an intercooler and a cat back exhaust (which are sold separately). These add another $2k to the overall cost.

Based on personal experience (installed at 74k in 01/2004, now at 125k; 0 turbo-related problems), their kit is very reliable.

If they put the 265hp 2.0T engine in the next A4 (or at least a 240-250hp version), I'd be enthralled.
