This is the FQ400 version limited to 100 car production.

And funnily enough this isn't the full version of the video where they talk about all the bad parts of the car such as the major turbo lag, turning circle of jupiter, an average of 12MPG.
Plus the engine has to be serviced every 3000 miles, but that's not before the special sporty tires have to be replaced every 2000 miles.
And for the money that this version costs you can buy an RS4 or a TVR Sagaris.

Well, that still doesn't explain why the dynamic of a 35K car is better than a 100K+ car.

...And as cool as the Mitsu is, I would definitely take the RS4 over it.

Read what heyhuub said. THIS particular Evo is a limited edition, that costed as much as an RS4.

I agree, but the Murcielago also should be serviced after every driving season, sometimes less than 3000 miles. Same with Ferrari and some other high performance exotics.

If the Mistu cost as much as the RS4, I would be happy with the RS4. I think it is capable enough for me, I love to drive fast, but I am not a proffesional. Plus I don't really like turbo lag either.

Plus Audi has a lot more prestige than mitsubishi.

WOW! Talk about performance per dollar. Here is the thing though - the Mitsu is just as capable as the Lambo - yet people buy Lambo's for the looks and the styling. The Lambo bull is there for the image. Right now I would love to have the FQ400, yet the Lambo is more attractive - well because it is a Lambo.

Not to mention the small twin turbo setup is meant to minimize turbo lag and give the perception that you are driving a car with a naturally aspirated engine. You strap two huge turbos on the 335i, you won't see peak torque until 3500rpm and peak hp until 7000rpm (as in the FQ400) because the big turbos take longer to spool up, whereas the small turbos in the BMW can spool up quickly and deliver peak power and torque at lower RPMs. You're better off controlling the boost in the 335i by tuning the ECU, rather than enlarging the size of the turbos.

Also that big wing is a favorite of teenagers.

Sorry buddy. That wasn't from 0 MPH but 30. And the weak little rental beat it. The M3, F430 would have no problems with that. Point is that the turbo is too big.

The Murcielago did 1.23.7 and the EVO did 1.24.6 on their test track.

We should all keep in mind that the EVO passed the Lambo only after he spun out.

Getting back to the RS4 comparison. If I want a track car only that would be the EVO, but a better looking, much more driveable, almost as quick but less expensive car, that would be the RS4.

A friend of mine has an EVO that he modified so it would do high 12's in the quartermile. It was very difficult to drive even for him, simply because of the huge turbo lag and then the tremendous rush once it kicked in.

The RS4's desirability is undeniable. It's simply the most desirable sports sedan since the original M5.

Firstly an M3 or F430 would definetly accelerate faster in top gear at 30mph becasue they have no turbo's. The FQ400 has a really big one so you'll only be getting somewhere above 4500RPM.

Second, the RS4 is a high twelve car, i'v seen numbers as high as 12.7 secs.

And about the FQ400 beating the lambo around the track, The Lambo did the Top gear lap in 1.23.5 seconds, the FQ400 did it in 1.24.6.
Sure it's only a second slower, but it's the same second slower as the RS4 was to the FQ400 with 1.25.3.

A purpose built car designed for a short race track... Of course it is going to perform well. Go buy an FQ400 and come talk to me in a month. Unless you plan to use it exclusively as a track car, I suspect you will be highly disappointed driving something like this long term. Lets face it, when you drive on todays roads you are not going 95% every where you go. In fact, just about the only place you would be able to open the car up would be on the long open country roads. Give me the Lambo here. As far as track car give me a Caterham for less money. Only a fool would buy a FQ400 as a daily driver.
