No threat? That's funny, last time I checked, Lexus sold more IS' than the A3 and A4. It's kind of weird how some of us totally live in another world, isn't it?

He said he lives in Europe, LexusIS350. It's a totally different ballgame on that continent. The Lexus IS and Lexus brand as a whole is not a major player there.

"That's funny, last time I checked, Lexus sold more IS' than the A3 and A4."

Where did you find that out? The 3 Series and A4, respectively, are the top selling cars in their class. The A3 only adds to the injury inflicted upon Lexus's IS sales- they're mediocre.

Mr Lexus IS350,

Putting a Lexus on top in every class? That's called bias, especially with your username hinting at your obvious affiliation.

I happen to be very loyal to Lexus. They don't give up on me. I like cars I can trust. It isn't called biased, it's called common sense.

Wow, One has to be totally blind to say the Lexus IS is the best in the midsize market.

Best coupe Lexus SC, that overweight turd is a horrible car, plain and simple.

What ever you are smoking Lexusis350, let me have some!

Oh, reasoning...

S-Class and A8L? There's no reason to explain. The ubiquitous Benz deserves its place on any list of dream cars, and the A8L is for a more informed, less image-conscious buyer who wants all the beauty and technology, but without the image.

E-Class is the best balance between performance and comfort in the midsize segment, having stronger engines than the A6 and more luxury than the 5 Series. It's also very classy and understated- a big plus for suburbanites.

3 Series is a no-brainer. The ideal combination of supreme performance and class-leading comfort (like the driving position, not the actual interior luxury). It's also stylish, and you look good driving it whether you're a man or a woman.

The A3 has been met with uniquely perfect reviews almost unanimously, and the car deserves them, simply enough. It has outstanding driving dynamics (especially with the powerful 2.0T and the amazing DSG gearbox), a comfortable and attractive interior, great practicality / mileage in the city, and an agressive style all its own.

The new CL, though I've never driven it, is a jewel. I have sat in the new one (some of the interior panels were obscured by cardboard- it was fresh from the factory), and it's simply breathtaking, inside and out. The engine is also perfectly smooth and very capable. Who needs a CL600 when you ave 380 horses on tap from a base CL550?

The XKR is not only stunningly beautiful, luxurious, and fast- but, surprisingly, it's a great value. For the price of a normally-equipped 911 Cabriolet, it surpasses it in luxury, power and (to some) style. The 911 has a style that nobody else can match, but the XKR is for someone who doesn't want an all-out sports car.

Ahh. The Veyron. It speaks for itself. 1000hp. Four turbos. AWD. Luxurious, exclusive interior. Mind-blowing speed and style. Over $1.5 million to buy and to run.

Do I really have to say anything about the 911?

The S2000 is the opposite of the GT that is the XKR. It is a pure sportscar. For those who want a 911 some day, the S2000 is the closest you can get for under $40,000.

The Range Rover has opulent luxury features, handsome and contemporary style, and some adequate engine choices. Although it's a porker (and there's a good chance you'll get a "lemon"), your Range Rover experience will be like no other. In a good way.

The A6 Avant is the sleekest, best-looking, most attractive, most handsome wagon on the market- how many ways to say it? Audi did such a good job that I would most easily buy it over the sedan version, something I couldn't quite say for the last-generation.

How is the Lotus Elise affordable?
I would think that title would have gone to the GTI, Cobalt SS, Mustang GT, WRX/EVO.

I am not trying to "dis" the LS460, but this morning I saw one in person for the first time. The thing is though, until I saw the back of it I seriously thought it was a Camry.

Now don't get me wrong...upon really looking at it, it is obviosly a Lexus LS. I think the problem was at first glance it doesn't really look outstanding in any way, and at the same time it does resemble a Camry in a lot of its design. I think the LS has the same problem as the RL when it comes to design. This may not be a big deal for Lexus though...I don't imagine Lexus LS buyers as design conscience as someone buying a Jaguar or Audi A8 anyway.

That said, the Lexus LS is an amazing car. But for me, my heart wants the Audi S8. I just wish they offered a 6-speed manual.

Agreed.

But, as odd as it sounds, it would be MUCH better if they offered the seven-speed DSG! The S8 would easily be quicker than the 525hp S63 AMG with DSG!
