Smart designed for America

There is some interesting news coming from the guys over at Auto-Motor-und-Sport. They have asked Mark Stehrenberger from Santa Barbara to sketch them a Smart that Americans would like. Mark suggested four models for the US market; Fortwo Coupe /Cabrio, MPV/4x4 Crosser, Vanette and Pickup.

Or, they could get a Chrysler.... That's what they do over here, buy a cheap Chrysler and "pimp it out" with ugly, giant rims that have spinners.

What is ugly for you is not ugly for someone else. Chrysler 300C wouldn't be considered cheap but it is definately affordable and you get quite a bit for what you pay for. A loaded 300C is pretty close to an IS350 in price so if a 300C is cheap then so is your Lexus. Most of the population can barely afford driving let alone driving a luxury car lol.

I guess that it's Mercedes' answer to Scion, but a lot more expensive and probably a lot less reliable.
