Mystery Car in Los Angeles- What is it?
An autoblog reader snapped pictures of this JDM market vehicle in Los Angeles, CA. Reports of the next Honda Element, Ford SYNus, Nissan Patrol, Nissan X-Trail, Scion xD (replaces xB, just announced), and Ford Fairlane are heard .Any ideas out there?

IMO, it has the Ford three-bar grille, but since it is likely a JDM (Japan Domestic Market) right hand drive car, US Spec Fairlane is pretty much ruled out. Rear lights point to X-Trail. Other design details point to Element.I also remember a possible Honda Stream+CRV concept. Who Knows!

I would say the Scion, judging by the boxy appearance.

It's funny cause if you look at the photo's URL ( http://www.autospies.com/images/users/mstangpny07/scionxb084.jpg ) it says scion..

yes, but they needed to call it something....IMO I think it is a Honda HR-V.

wait, what?

did you just say that toyota/scion out-designs honda?

honda's have always had breakthrough designs on their vehicles. toyota, not so much. they do have some nice designs, yeah, but they are too vanilla-styled. in all honesty, the only cars from their lineup that really attract me are the gs and the rx models. everything else, i find to be pretty mundane.

LexusDude, its ugly, thats why i think ford should take credit for this thing. Besides its to big for a scion, check out the other pictures.

This is the new Nissan Cube, sold in Japan for years and it's finally coming to the States. It looks better than the Scion and Element.

It looks like the new Scion or rather a redesigned xB(?). Though the front does have a rather Ford-esk look to it. The headlamps look like they were lifted from the Escape.

It's gotta be the Honda HR-V!

Nissan Cube was ruled out.

I do think it's a Scion, no matter what the article said. Like a more rugged, cooler xB- I like.

mstangpny07 was right on the 18th of December. VERY good eye, Man. My dealer told me about this car early. I tried to get a sales manual from him but he opted to NOT lose his job. LOL!
