2009 Mercedes GLK Undisguised With Official Information

After all those spy shots and all the hype, we are finally seeing some official detail and images of the upcoming 2009 Mercedes Benz GLK. AutoBild is reporting that the 2009 Mercedes GLK will be on the road in August 2008. The small SUV, which is Mercedes’ answer to the BMW X3, Volvo XC60 and the upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan will measure 4.50 meters long and will be based on the platform of the C-Class (much like the X3 which is based on the 3-Series platform). In addition to three different V6 variants, the Mercedes GLK will also come in a 2.2 liter four cylinder diesel engine that will produce about 204 horsepower.

The Mercedes GLK will have a trunk space of 450 liters along with a tank size of 80 liters. The car is expected to be priced around 36,000 euros. Click through for the image of the back.

“Undisguised” doesn’t necessarily mean the pictures. Yes the pictures are probably CGI but the information on the GLK is most important.

lexusis350, I guess you have not yet seen the 2008 Forester. My wife and I just test drove it and it is very easy to get in and out of. It's the most practical rice burner around. The main problem is that the Forester's front seat cushions are a bit short and are much too firm. The full-size spare tire is on a steel rim instead of a proper matching alloy wheel. The wheel well for the spare is too shallow forcing a hump to appear in the rear cargo area. The Forester's rear seats do not fold completely flat. Get back to the drawing board Subaru! You screwed up an otherwise perfect car. I want Subaru to offer an automatic Forester with a normally aspirated H6 engine and at least 2 Torsen limited slip differentials.

these are not officially confirmed nor are they official images released by DCX themselves as you even said yourself in the article, these are "renderings".

I am sure the quality is as good as ever but as far as looks I have seen them do better. I am afraid I do not like the looks of it.
