Should BMW Consider a M Series Ute Like This One?

Should BMW Consider a M Series Ute Like This One?
I first saw this project a while back while trolling in the wee morning hours. At first I was appauled that someone might want to even consider taking a M Series, and chopping it up to make a ElCamino like travisty.

But as I watched this project transform over time I realized that this might indeed be a first rate job. So I guess it all depends on your view point. BMW has done an excellent job with their SAVs so why not take it a step further?

No, BMW should never, ever ever ever, make a pickup truck. Not in M form, not in normal form. Never. If they want to make an X3 M or an X5 M, I'm ok with that even though the BMW purists will be up in arms over it, but no pickup trucks.

They won't make this for the same reason why they don't make a M7.

BMW should've never made the X3 forget about a pickup. I really hope BMW isn't considering a Van like Mercedes R

well they are...
but really, why is a "sporty off-road styled vehicle that is dynamically compromised" a good idea whereas a "sport spacious practical vehicle" is so opposed?
i think a sporty suv is a very stupid thing, they do nothing well. a sporty r class type vehicle is better.

We already got a 7 series pickup here in Denmark.
Because of our tax on cars, some companys got an idea, thsy cut make a pickup out of af BMW 7, Mercedes E and S class that way they could make it cost about half the price.
But that wont work anymore. But you can still se a lot of ML, X5, Cayenne and so on, with just the 2 seats in the front, and none in the back, that way you can get away with about 50% savings. our tax system sucks.

Why do you bring up Audi in EVERY SINGLE BMW ARTICLE THAT YOU POST IN?!

THIS ISN'T AN AUDI ARTICLE!!! IT'S A BMW ARTICLE- AND WE'RE DISCUSSING BMWS!!!

It's just SO easy to see how insecure you are! You're AFRAID of Audi!

Anyone remember when there were rumors of an X5 pick-up about 4-5 years ago...Never going to happen.

No BMW pick-ups or El-Camino-type rear ends.

BMW is luxury and sport-luxury. The X3 and X5 are sport-luxury utility vehicles. An open bed in the rear wouldn't be positive for the BMW image and credibility.
