Jaguar XF concept leaked!

Jaguar XF concept leaked!
These are the first images of the new XF concept, to be shown at the Detroit Motor Show. The car is a make or break proposition for Jaguar, who has struggled against the likes of BMW and Mercedes. Jaguar’s goal has been to drop the old and tardy image of the current S-type and replace it with something modern and sporty. We think they’ve succeeded.

Am I the only one seeing a LOT of Aston Martin in these shots? It doesn't look bad, just very... similar.

The rear bumpber looks like an old Accord/Prelude to me.

Ahem,

That's a really good looking car. Normally you'd need to spend an awful lot of money to get a car that looks like that. I'm not saying that it's going to be a German car killer, but it will definately make things more challenging from a competitor's sales point of view. People will want to drive and be seen in a car like that, no doubt. Many will buy it on looks alone, but if it fails in the areas of safety, quality, or performance, it will die in a year or two. I'm not saying it has to be the best in any of these catagories to succeed, but it needs to be good in all of them for the sustained success that Jaguar is looking for.

Guys... it's BASED on the Rapide!

Didn't you see the article from last week?

However, besides the taillights (those aren't Jaguar-esque at all), I'm liking the design a lot.

It would make sense that the XJ would have a body like this, not the S-Type/XF. However, it would be even cooler if the XJ ended up as an XK sedan!

Wow, if Jaguar could have this design instead the S-type ford would make money. Jaguar Also needs a infinti FX type SUV, could be based on a land rover platform.

Vmarkiv, if the above car goes into production, it will likely be the most distinguished automobile on the road. That's a beautiful car and it actually looks like a four door version of the Jaguar XKR/XK.

I think this is not the real XF concept, take a look the oficial photo, the window of the rear door is more roundish and the car it seems to me too small for a Jag. The XF final is more long and thin.

This is exactly what jaguar needs to shake up its boring line up and reputation. This is exciting.

If Jaguar can do a similarly exciting concept for the new S-Type, it would be profitable again.

This IS the concept S-Type- the S-Type will be replaced with the midsized XF sedan. XF6, XF8, and XFR.

I don't really love the letter F (Jaguar, Lexus- listen up), but at least they're thinking out of the box.

Actually, now that I think of it... it should be XA. No, there's Toyota about to sue them... XI? That might be cool! I drive a Jaguar XIR...
