Leaked: New Honda Crossroad

Leaked: New Honda Crossroad
Many images of vehicles that haven’t been introduced yet have been leaked over the web, which is not common after these past few days of leaky pipes, including the Jaguar C-XF concept and the Lincoln MKR concept dispute. Well, now, CarNewsSite brings you the first exclusive images of the new Honda Crossroad, which is expected to be released in mid February of 2007.

Numerous spy pictures were posted all over the web concerning this mystery vehicle which was caught on camera cruising down the streets of Los Angeles in somewhat heavy camouflage. The Crossroad name only applies to the Japanese market, and it may be the next Element as we know due to the fact that it integrates the design and numerous seating arrangements found in the Element.

Size of the Crossroad will be at around 65 inches tall, with a width of 70 inches and a total span of 168 inches, this crossover seats up to seven passengers, opposed to the current Element, which only seats a disappointing four, yet it is more compact than the current generation of the CR-V, yet longer in wheelbase. It will be available with two engines, which is a 140-hp 1.8-L or a 150-hp 2.0 and comes in either front wheel drive or all wheel drive.

At least it looks better than the Element. Maybe this one will replace the Element.

yup, it is the mystery car I posted earlier.......

BTW, I just got out of a Land Cruiser Prado taxi, and I definately think it is better as a Toyota than a Lexus. This one was actually nice, w/ leather and navi, (an '07 according to the driver) Not as nice as the E320 I saw, though.
Our Echo rental is now falling apart. I'm pissed at Alamo because they had a brand new Yaris that they could have given us. Whatever. It moves.
I'll be back soon!

Aren't there any design teams that review the aesthetics of vehicles anymore? WTF is wrong with these people? Really...how hard is it to design a decent looking vehicle?

What is with the Ford grill? This is the worse looking Honda ever! And i love Hondas design. Please don't copy Ford with their grill...

Looks to be Ridgeline-sized. Also looks as if it borrowed the Nissan Cube3 window design.

Looks better than the Element, that's for sure. Hopefully it will replace the even more hideous Element. All they need to do to make this better is tix the sides. I hate that look. And maybe add a bit more shape to it. Less boxy would be preffered.

This won't replace the element ... its a totally different class. The element is just a bloated-up civic with a boxy body .. bought by old ladies so they can carry their potting-soil home without ruining the carpets.
This beast is the new Pilot with 3 rows of seats ... which means its probably a Ridgeline station-wagon.
At least that Ford grille looks better than the "magic flying robot" design on the Ridge-line ... which showed that someone at Honda has a sense of humor!
