Toyota responds to talk of Ford alliance
Well, this should end all those Toyota/Ford merger rumors swirling around. A Toyota spokesman has said company Chairman Fujio Cho did meet with Ford CEO Alan Mulally and Executive Vice President Mark Fields, but it was only a "get-acquainted meeting." According to Automotive News, the spokesman then added: Toyota's top executives constantly meet with counterparts at other automakers. Hmmm. That sounds familiar.

I would like to fly in their corporate G4...enjoy corporate catering, and sit in on meetings with my notepad pretending to be important

This is a leaked press release from Toyota Motor Corporation I obtained from a source, yesterday:

"Lucky valued customer!

This is Toyota here! Your super-lucky car maker of choice! We build you the amazing elegant Camry and super-ultra sporty Corolla, we love you America! You buy our car!

You may have hearded us talking to your famous Ford car-maker! We love Mustang, very ultra sport. We talk to them about business, we happy! They say they love Corolla, and we very embarras!

We unsure if we can work with your Ford car-maker, as you loyal customer not expect Toyota to build Mustang! LOL. Anyway, we glad you love our efficient, if dull and characterless transportational product range, and be sure to try our Lexus car too! We make sure you love them, with big leather and lots of button, you Americans like?

Thank you for reading, Toyota thanking you! Love lots,

Toyota Motor Corporation. We are number one!"

Toyota are not going to help Ford like the way everyone here think. They just doing it for public and politic relation. It come sense, no one want to help their competitor, what if they get better, they turn around and screw or put you out of business.

Here to Ford, I thought you guys were making fun of Toyota for not having enough involvement in James Bonds movie? Now look who flying to Japan to seek help. Pathetic fool...if you make your car better not only quality, but designing as well, you will sales more cars.

Ford is pathetic. Notice when they said that, they weren't in trouble. Now that they can't make ends meet, they turn to Toyota, their successor. What a bunch of hypocrites that run Ford.

A merger with Ford would help Toyota solve their biggest problem: What to do with all the cash that keeps piling up. Ford could piss that away in no time!

I could see Toyota wanting Ford. After all Ford makes alot of trucks and knows how to sell them. Something Toyota is still learning to do. By owning Ford they would be able to leap a head in this area. Plus if they could have all of Ford sales, that would make them number one.. But really I don't see this happening. Just doesn't make sense. And I really don't see the Ford share holders going for it right away.
