DETROIT AUTO SHOW: Ford stretches Mustang to make 4-door Interceptor
Looks like they will finally have a Chrysler 300 challenger in two years...

Wow - would never have guessed that such a fine looking machine could possibly emerge from Ford's American new product development process. Very, very good looking and different.

Dear Ford,

Please build this car. As is. That means not watering it down as a production version e.g. 427 concept/Fusion, Mustang GT concept/production Mustang, every Lincoln concept of the last 5 years. I realize my pleas will fall on deaf ears, but still I ask in the rare chance that Ford will actually listen and build the car that will make me buy Ford.

Looks good.

Ford just change the grille and bring it here.

Very nice concept. Now the only thing left for FoMoCo to do is build it and do not water it down to some ultra-conservative FiveHundred clone. What else do they have to lose?

It looks great...unfortunately, Ford will likely "wuss out" when they finally bring it to the market and we will end up with a boxier Ford Taurus. Ford needs to take risks because playing it safe has been making them bankrupt. Don't screw this up Ford!

This car looks good. but i would say that there is a 70% chance they will make the wrong decision and not build it

Like verything the Big Threes put on the show, 95% does not make it the assembly line. Some Bean Counters would shoot it down in the meeting after the Auto show. And they wonder why no one is coming into the show room.

Shouldn't the headline read...'Ford re-uses the Lincoln LS / Jag S-type platform' to create the interceptor?

That (good) platform was the basis for the Stang and the T-Bird (remember that dud!).

This looks a lot like the 300... I like the car but I think the grill and the headlights could use a little work.
