a GTI has 200 hp and I'm sure it can go 130 mph, which was how fast the Merc was going when it hit the truck.

i dont understand how the car still says 210km/h. is this a new feature like the black box in the cars, or is it by accident. For all you know, the car could have gone through some technical glitching while crashing, and the speedo just moved randomly.

true, but looking at the damage, I would say that it was a very high speed. He didn't really hit the truck with 210km/h, but with 130km/h since they say the truck was driving 80km/h.

i think the fact that it was a truck didn't help. if he hit another car (ie another e class) he might have survived.
