Is ESPN Thinking Outside the Box or Are They Reaching For Ratings?

For Motor Citizens and others who can't get enough of auto shows, ESPN2 is launching a new series that will let the show season glitter and roar all year long.

In "Autotrader.com DRIVE in HD," which debuts Jan. 7 at 11 a.m., former Motor Trend magazine editor C. Van Tune and others promise to take viewers behind the scenes at the top auto shows in the United States.

ESPN has always done the Detroit autoshow. You get to see the cars on your tv. But I think the January 7 show will be about the LA autoshow.
